We’ve composed a list of our top 10 places to grab dinner in Mid Michigan cities and hope you’ll put it to use the next time you’re looking for a place to eat out! 1. Antlers - Canadian Lakes
This rustic log cabin themed restaurant in the heart of Canadian Lakes is one you definitely want to pay a visit to. All of the food they serve is made from scratch and they use only the finest ingredients. Antler’s is known for their variety of options on the menu as there is something for everyone, and they even have a great patio space to enjoy in the warmer months.
2. Gypsy Nickel Lounge - Big Rapids
Looking for a waterfront restaurant with great prices, fantastic food, and lots of drink options? Look no further, Gypsy Nickel Lounge in Big Rapids is the perfect spot! The view from the outdoor deck overlooks the Muskegon River, and at sunset time it’s absolutely gorgeous. The specials that they have are also great and something to pay attention to when you visit!
3. Newaygo Brewing - Newaygo
The best pizza and beer in town is found at Newaygo Brewing! Stop in the downtown area of Newaygo for some local shopping and then grab a drink an a bite to eat from Newaygo Brewing for the perfect day. We highly recommend the BBQ Chicken pizza and their hard ciders on tap!
4. The Forager - Howard City
The Forager in Howard City is a restaurant that sources all of their food locally and has won many awards for their unbeatable recipes! The historic building is home to one of the state’s finest restaurants and there is also a beautiful outdoor patio to enjoy – always a bonus! They have DAILY features to keep you coming back for more and more and more!
5. Reed City Brewing - Reed City
Reed City Brewing Company is definitely an all time favorite of ours. You really can’t go wrong with great beer and good food at a local Mid Michigan brewery! Reed City Brewing is a community hub where people gather together and stories are shared, it is one special spot!
6. Chase Creek Smokehouse - Reed City
“The Smokehouse” is all about doing things big! If you visit you can expect big portions of food that you’ll definitely love! And from May-September, you can enjoy their beautiful patio and sip on a cocktail outside. They celebrated 25 years this year, so cheers to that, be sure to pay them a visit in celebration of them and to treat yourself to a tasty meal.
Elegant dining at an affordable price is what you will find at Pere Marquette Bistro! The food and desserts are out of this world and if you look at their menu you’ll notice they offer everything from burgers to wraps to paninis and so much more!
8. Jimmy's Roadhouse - Newaygo
Jimmy’s Roadhouse is a Newaygo classic! The Roadhouse brings in plenty of locals as well as visitors to the area and is a big hit! They provide only the best comfort food, a sports bar, and entertainment!
9. Lakes 23 Restaurant and Pub - Fremont
Do you SEE that absolutely gorgeous patio? And it’s even prettier during the sunset. We can’t think of anything better than sipping on a cocktail over apps and a fantastic view which is exactly what you’ll get when you go out to Lakes 23 Restaurant in Fremont! And if you’re looking for something fun to do before dinner, the restaurant is on a golf course so you can always get a round of golf in before.
10. Schuberg's Bar and Grill - Big Rapids
Schubergs is a historical burger bar located right downtown Big Rapids and is simply a classic that you can’t miss! They also have monthly dinner specials that are so incredibly good and they go all the way back to 1933. Head out to Schubergs for a great beer and a fantastic burger!
